Ari and Sean were dating for eight months, making their relationship very public with onstage duets and PDA. The two collaborated on songs like “Right There,” “Best Mistake” and “Research.” Sean appeared in Ariana’s “Right There” and “Problem” music videos and had a permanent spot on her Honeymoon Tour backdrop, when she would float on a mechanical cloud as he rapped onscreen behind her.

At first the couple kept their relationship on the low — Ariana was just getting out of a relationship with the Janoskians’ Jai Brooks while Big Sean had broken off his engagement with “Glee’s” Naya Rivera. Speculation around them started when they were spotted holding hands backstage at the 2014 Video Music Awards.

“They made the decision to part ways because their conflicting touring schedules would keep them apart over the next year,” one source told Us. Sean is in the midst of promoting his new album Dark Sky Paradise while Ariana is in the middle of her Honeymoon Tour.
