Black Stars player Andre Ayew crossed new coach Avram Grant after the former Chelsea boss named his squad for the 2015 African Cup of Nation and nearly paid with his inclusion in the tournament set to kick off on Saturday, January 17, 2015.
The Olympique Marseille player arrived late at the Black Stars camp, triggering the wrath of Avram Grant to the point that Black Stars management committee chairman George Afriyie and his deputy Kudjo Fiano had to intervene on behalf of Andre Ayew who was nearly expelled from camp.

Kudjo Fiano told Happy FM on the Ayew lateness for camp incident:
“Myself and George Afriyie had to intervene and apologise on behalf of Andre Ayew for arriving late in camp because Avram Grant was very unhappy about the player’s late arrival in Spain.
“Grant sees Dede as a player who could lead the team in the future and expects him to lead an exemplary life.”
Avram Grant is taking measures to halt any indiscipline at the Black Stars camp after Ghana made the headlines for all the wrong reasons at the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.

In other news, Andre Ayew whose contract with French club Olympique Marseille runs out at the end of the season has been linked with a move to English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur. Talks are reported to be in advanced stages.
