Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, and Mona Hajia 4 Real, ex-girlfriend of Kenpong Group of Companies boss, Kennedy Agyapong, have been in the news lately for being in a relationship.

The close association of the two personalities has fuelled rumours that they could be more than just friends.

Despite the numerous rumours, photographs of the two on social media, a mention of Hajia’s name in the ‘Hol It’ song, Shatta Wale says he is not dating Mona.

According to him, Mona is a good friend and added that she is his godmother. “Hajia is like a godmother to me because she likes me very much. She always wants to do stuffs for me anytime I’m in the States and she is very close to me. I like her too,” he told JoyNews on MultiTV in an interview.

The “Kakai” singer added that Mona always wants to be around him because he is down to everybody and he is real.

While denying the existence of a romantic relationship between them, the dancehall artiste said, “she is my mummy.”

Shatta Wale said he is happily married to his baby mama and intends to keep it that way.
