Bice ‘Obour’ Osei Kuffour is hoping to be retained as MUSIGA boss in the upcoming MUSIGA elections.
The MUSIGA President as part of his achievement mentioned his regime had boost confidence in the music industry and thus musicians are earning more now.
Obour told Dr. Cann on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra;
“In 2011, how much was top Ghanaian artists earning? Our top artists included Samini, Sarkodie, VIP, R2Bees and the highest a top act could charge was GHC10,000. I was among the top artists and we all met and decided to charge within that range.
“Within the four years I’ve been President and built investor confidence to the extent the people want to pay more. As we speak, the last Ghana Music Awards, organizers paid artists GHC50,000 to perform. Within a spate of fours, the investor confidence is high now because of our hard work things are good.”
