“Walking is simple, free and of the easiest ways to get more active, lose weight and healthier. It’s underrated as a form of exercise, but walking is ideally for people of all ages and fitness level to be more active.”

One of the biggest radio stations in Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana, Ark FM on Saturday September 21, 2019 held its 4th Edition of the biggest health and fitness walk “Ark FM Health Walk and Mini Clinic 2019”.

The historic health walk saw over thousands of people joined Ark FM to walk through the principal streets of Sunyani amidst ‘jama’ and good music. The walk took off at exactly 6:30am from the forecourt of J. Adom opposite NIB and ended at Sunyani Coronation Park.

After the walk, participants gathered at the Sunyani Coronation Park, and some of participants actively jogged, amidst jama and good music, and took part in aerobic sessions.

Again, free coupon was shared to participants to enter into a draw, and over fifty (50) lucky people won themselves brand new radio sets, smartphones and more for free. The purpose for this, is to give listeners the opportunity to listen to Ark 107.1 FM with the radio and call into their educative programs with the mobile phone.

A team of specialists from HLAB, Regional Hospital, Municipal Hospital, SDA Hospital, Owusu Memorial Hospital, Palmat Dental Clinic, A&A Medical Center and more were there to provide free health screening and consultation to check your sugar level, cholesterol level, ear, nose, throat, eye and many more.

This year’s edition was sponsored by AirtelTigo Ghana, Fanmilk Ghana Limited, Franko Trading, HLab, Farmers Link, Xtrym Consortium, Kaya Tours Ghana with media support by Citi TV, Kofi TV, Nanakesse.com, Kobbykyeinews and Rob Photography.
