Vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, hosted international award winning actor, Abraham Attah, at the Flagstaff House in Accra yesterday.
The 15-year-old returned to Ghana yesterday after a week stay in the United States that saw him present an award at the Oscars and also win the Independent Spirit Award for “Best Male Lead” for his breakout performance as a child soldier in ‘Beasts of No Nation’.
He also picked up the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at Venice Film Festival 2015 and the “Rising Star Award” at the Black Film Critics Circle this past awards season.
Attah had in hand his Independent Spirit Award statuette at the presidential residence as he was accompanied by his mother to meet the Vice-President.
In a Facebook post by the Vice President, he described the meeting with young Attah as pleasant and congratulated him for being a fine ambassador of Ghana.
