Deputy Minister The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie has reiterated the need to maintain our cultural values which in turn improves on the country’s economy, According to her Culture is a reflection of our lives.
Hon Abla Dzifa Gomashie was speaking at the Peduase Valley Resort press soiree on Art and Culture for a more sustainable economic development. During her address she spoke on her passion for culture and Arts as a young teenager growing with the desire to project the rich Ghana culture. Speaking on how to preserve the nation’s culture and Arts, she urges the general public to embrace the culture policy which was established in 2004.
“If we are able to embrace the culture policy whcihe was established in 2004 it will for sure improve on our economic power, if we hold on tight to our cultural heritage can also mentain and preserve our rich culture and arts. she said. According to the deputy minister the responsibility of projecting and maintaining Arts and culture for a more sustainable economic development should not be left on the government alone but rather be a collective efforts from each and everyone.
The press soiree was put together by The peduase Valley Resort to interact with the media on what it has in place to promote Arts and culture for a more sustainable economic development. It was attended by major media houses as well as some entertainers and some key players promoting and projecting Ghanaian Arts and culture. Attendees were treated to a live performance from award winning singer wiyala and hosted by Berla mundi.
