Actor John Dumelo got social media buzzing when he posted a photo of a lady wearing a ring on her finger with the caption, “She said yes!!! ????”.

That post generated a lot of activity on social media with speculations that the fine actor was finally getting ready to walk a lady down the aisle.

However, John was quick to clarify that he did not propose to the said lady. “Not true ooo, I beg,” he said.

It later emerged that actor and founder of the Ghana Movie Awards, Fred Nuamah was the one who had proposed to his girlfriend.

Fred Nuamah popped the all-important to his girlfriend, Martekor, while on board an Africa World Airline from Accra to Monrovia, Liberia.

They were part of a delegation of actors, including John Dumelo, Confidence Haugen, Jackie Appiah, Van Vicker and his wife, Adjoa Vicker, and media persons attending the inauguration of newly elected president of Liberia, George Oppong Weah.

John Dumelo later posting a video of the proposal said: “So my good friend and brother @fredericknuamah proposed to his lovely lady @martekor_ 35,000 feet in the air…and offcourse She said yes!!!! Congrats fred!!!!”
