‘Highest’ album took me two years – Sarkodie
Uncategorized September 11, 2017, Comments OffAward-winning rapper, Sarkodie, has disclosed it took him two years to put together his latest album “Highest” which was released on Friday, September 8, 2017.
‘Highest’ which is his fifth studio album is a collection of 15 brand new songs, three interludes, and a bonus track, making 19 tracks in total.
Sarkodie told Giovani and Anita Erskine on Starr Drive on Thursday, September 7 that “Highest” was worth the long wait.
“It took me two years to record this album, I was itching to release it a bit earlier but I think it’s worth the wait because of the quality of work I’m about to drop and I’m grateful to my fans and everyone for the support over the years, and this is like a gift from Sarkodie”.
An autograph signing which took place on Sunday, September 10 at the West hills mall received massive patronage.
Highest features some major local and international acts such as his long-time friend and Producer Jayso, UK’s very own Big Narstie, Victoria Kimani (Kenya), Moelogo (UK), renowned Spoken Word artist Suli Breaks (UK), and Korede Bello (Nigeria).
Others are Praiz (Nigeria), Yung L (Nigeria), Joey B (Ghana), Jesse Jagz (Nigeria), Flavour (Nigeria) and Bobii Lewis (UK).
