If I Don’t Win An Award, I will Collapse – Gospel Musician
Uncategorized May 4, 2016, Comments OffThe 2016 VGMA Gospel Song of the Year and Gospel Artist of the year nominee, Patience
Nyarko, says she will ‘collapse’ should she fail to bag home an award at the yet to be staged
Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, which will take place this Saturday at the Accra
International Conference Centre.
Speaking on Entertainment Capital last Saturday on an Accra based radio station, Accra FM,
the Wafom Kwan hit maker lamented that, she deserves an award because she has worked
very hard this year to maintain her good image on the gospel music scene.
“I will collapse should I not win any award at the VGMAs. I have worked tirelessly to reach
where I am in my career and this year is no exception. Thanks be to God, after I realised my
Wafom Kwan album this year, it has made a mark in the ears of the many listeners and
topped almost all the music charts this year”
Her competitors for the Gospel Song of the Year Award are Supt Kofi Sarpong (‘Hour by
Hour’), Kofi Gyan (‘Yoboyo’), Mary Owusu (‘Wo Nkwa Wo Awurade’), Obaapa Christie
(‘Hyebre Sesafo’) and Nicholas Omane Acheampong (‘Aporsor’).
In the Gospel Artiste of the Year category, Patience Nyarko faces stiff competition from
Obaapa Christie, Joe Mettle, Nicholas Omane-Acheampong, Supt Kofi Sarpong and
Preachers.
