I’m A Proud Kwahu; KiDi Tells Kwahu Professionals Network

The singer and multiple award winning hitmaker who is signed on to Lynx Entertainment disclosed this when the executives of Kwahu Professionals Network (KPN) paid a courtesy call on him at the Lynx Studios to inform him of their upcoming grand launch of the professionals network.
Dennis Dwamena popularly known in showbiz circles as KiDi hails from Kwahu Abetifi in the Eastern Region of Ghanaian. The singer disclosed that due to his relatively lighter complexion many people mistake him for being either a Nigerian or an Ewe. The singer intimated that while he is flattered by all the attention he gets because of his music and complexion he has always made it a point to point out his Kwahu relation when asked because he is very proud of where he is from. He has even christened himself “Kwahu Broni” or “Kwahu Halfco”.
KiDi attributed his fairer skin to both his parents who also have a lighter complexion.
The multiple award winning singer said he was proud to be have been chosen by Kwahu Professionals Network (KPN) to feature in their upcoming documentary of prominent Kwahu men and woman doing impressive works in their chosen careers.
Members of KPN includes; doctors, lawyers, engineers, lecturers, teachers, Entreprenuers, importers, farmers, Agronomists, politicians etc, who hail from Kwahu and identify themselves as Kwahu.
The delegation which visited KiDi included President of KPN Mr Davis Opoku Ansah (OPK), Mr Prince Boateng, Mr Kwaku Dumas and Mr Felix Darfour.
In the yet to be released interview KiDi speaks about growing up with a Kwahu mother and father, schooling in Accra, breaking into the music industry and how he wants his music to remain relevant to listeners while collaborating with global stars to push his music beyond the boundaries of Ghana and Africa.
KiDi urged all the youth in Ghana to aspire to do something positive with their time, invest in learning a trade or going to school.
He also urged his fans to continue to support his music. In their part the Executives of Kwahu Professionals Network (KPN) promised him of their unflinching support of the 1000 member strong professional association in any way they can.
