people are in desperate need of hope, he aims to give them something to smile about. Born Osemeke
Uwakina, he was inspired by Boyz II Men, R. Kelly, Back Street Boys, Samsong, Deitrick Haddon and
Tonex.
Being rooted in church, inspired and motivated him to major in gospel music. And he hopes to use this
channel to reach out to the saved and unsaved ministering hope, motivation and encouragement to both
the young and old.
His music career kicked off in the year 2002. Smek has worked with various Choirs across Nigeria where
he served both as Assistant and Music Director including the renowned CFI Uniben Choir of well over 100
Choristers. He’s recorded several singles including “Beautiful Day”, “What Can I Give?” and “It’s
gonna be alright.” He has graced various music concerts across Nigeria, Ghana, Praise Explosion Live
DVD Recording Concert at the Barnyard Theatre, Johannesburg, South Africa and Dubai.
He is signed on to EmmyGees Production, South Africa and has an ongoing music collaboration project
with A-list South African Gospel Rapper Alas KayCee and American Rapper Mel. His debut album “My
Season” is due to hit the airwaves in summer 2016.
