Rap ‘Industry’ Owes Sarkodie Gratitude – Teephlow

Rapper Teephlow says rappers in Ghana owe Sarkodie gratitude for sustaining the “rap industry”.

According to Teephlow, the award-winning musician makes the works of young rappers appreciated by giving them the platforms and audience to exhibit their productions.

He told JoyNews MzGee in an interview that, “I believe that the industry, especially the rap industry, owes him [Sarkodie] a lot of props. A lot of us got good platforms through him. It is not that he makes us write what we write nor is he, the one who makes people like what we do but he gives you an audience for them to listen to how good you are.

“I feel like he is doing the most for the [rap] industry. We all need to look up to that and try and support the best way we can,” he added.

Teephlow, who features Adina on a new track titled ‘Forgive’, explained that the song was inspired by issues he faced in his relationship.

“I believe music is not only about us artistes but also what people are going through, myself I have had my fair share of relationship issues and I feel like the best tool that can actually drive these things is if you can have the heart of forgiveness,” he said.
