A new dawn for reflection is here as the cock crows in the morning bringing our minds to events past and new beginnings. Last night saw the movie industry draw curtains on the much-anticipated Ghana Movie Awards – 7th edition.

It is quite surprising this ceremony has not been in existence for that long considering the span of movie production dated time immemorial. Nevertheless, its growth in quality and innovation has been very exceptional over the years and this years didn’t fail. This years marked the 7th edition but the 1st for ZYLOFON Media in terms of organization.

It was a night of drama, tension, and stupendous leap in the Movie Awards despite some hitches and delay considering this being the first from their camp. Great personalities and appreciative audience grace the red carpet that glorious night at the prestigious Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel. A night of storm troopers – crowded auditorium, a sellout which was much expected was never a problem.

The fun was too much to get bothered. I must say our Ghanaian closets holds a lot of creative ideas; yesterday was epic – everyone represented! The Tuxedo and Kente game was on point. A beautiful scenery – the setting for the award was just perfect, a ball room with good lightening system, soothing music and a round table with wine held the audience.

ZYLOFON media really treads on its word; creativity is its hallmark. With this initiative, we just can hope and promise better the subsequent years.
