
Shatta Wale, Kojo Antwi, Tagoe Sisters, others to feature in Election 2016 Peace Song campaign
Uncategorized May 31, 2016, Comments OffThe Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) in collaboration with STAR-Ghana has planned to involve all musicians in ensuring peaceful general elections in November.
In a recent workshop held, members of the union were oriented on how to play their diverse roles in ensuring a peaceful polls.
In view of this project, a peace song which is being recorded byAppietus and Rev Yawson will feature some of the big shots like E.L, Shatta Wale, Efya, Nero X, Blakk Rasta, Kojo Antwi, Edem, Tagoe Sisters and many others.
MUSIGA is among thirty five other organizations selected by STAR- Ghana as implementing-partners working for peaceful and credible elections.
STAR-Ghana has a vision to see an active and engaged civil society capable of articulating citizens’ demands and an effective state that is responsive and accountable to its citizens.
It also has a goal to develop a vibrant, well-informed and assertive civil society able to contribute to transformation national development and inclusive access to high quality, accountable public services for Ghanaian citizens.
