TV presenter, AJ Sarpong has confirmed she indeed kissed comedian DKB in their Friday April fool prank that went viral.

But she said she didn’t expect people to believe the prank from the onset.

“We kissed but I took it like a role in a movie I had to play,” she told Ghanareporter.com on Sunday.

AJ was proposed to by the ex-BBA star in a live television broadcast and was presented with an emerald ring on Friday.

They climaxed it with a kiss. But both of them made a U-turn to say it was an April fool prank. Some people thought the kiss wasn’t real but AJ confirmed it was real.

AJ Sarpong is no stranger to Ghanaian media. She is on screens every morning with her infectious character on News Xtra, the entertainment section of the Morning show on Ghone TV, dubbed GH Today with Kafui Dey and Baisiwaa Hammond. She is accolade the “Princess of Morning TV.”

She is also currently working on her own show to debut in the next couple of weeks. She is also entertainment correspondent on Starr Fm’s mid-morning show, The Zone with Naa Ashokor.

Born Nana Adjoa Akuoko-Sarpong, she is the last child of traditional ruler and political stalwart, Nana Kwame Akuoko-Sarpong, the Omanhene of Agogo Traditional Area.

She holds a degree in Political Science and Theatre Arts from, the University of Ghana and is an epitome of beauty and brains as she is also currently pursuing her Masters in Journalism.
