Uncategorized July 1, 2014, 270 CommentsThanks to her 95 tour stops (averaging $2.4 million per show), surprise self-titled album, fragrances, H&M and Pepsi endorsement deals, and House of Dereon clothing line, the performer raked in an estimated $115 million between June 1, 2013, and June 1, 2014.
Beyonce nabbed the top spot from Oprah Winfrey, who hit
fourth place this year with an estimated $82 million in earnings, thanks to her cable network as well as her success in Lee Daniels’ The Butler.
The singer’s husband and On the Run tour partner Jay Z came in sixth, with an estimated $60 million in earnings from his Magna Carta … Holy Grail album, live performances, Roc Nation record label and management company, and business ventures such as his 40/40 nightclubs and D’Ussé cognac.
Also high in this year’s rankings are LeBron James ($72 million, second place), Ellen DeGeneres ($70 million, fifth), Floyd Mayweather ($105 million, seventh), Rihanna ($48 million, eighth), Katy Perry ($40 million, ninth) and Robert Downey Jr. ($75 million, 10th).
Who made the most this year?
That would be third-place ranker Dr. Dre, whose $3 billion Beats deal with Apple garnered him an estimated $620 million, earning him more in the past 12 months than anyone in the history of the Celebrity 100.
Following Downey in the film actors category are Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Bradley Cooper, Leonardo DiCaprio and Matthew McConaughey, while Jennifer Lawrence, Sandra Bullock, Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson and
Jennifer Aniston top the film actresses category. TV talent Sofia Vergara, Ashton Kutcher, Neil Patrick Harris, Kevin Spacey, Bryan Cranston, Jon Hamm, Kerry Washington, Zooey Deschanel, Lena Dunham and Kaley Cuocoalso made the annual ranking.
Eight directors made the list this year (Steven Spielberg, Mark Burnett, Peter Jackson, Michael Bay, Tyler Perry, Joss Whedon,
J.J. Abrams and Seth MacFarlane) as well as six authors (James Patterson, Dan Brown, John Green, Stephen King, J.K. Rowling and Veronica Roth).
