Romantic and love songs have always been my favourite; it puts me to bed, it keeps me alive and glowing. So whenever I’m alone or feels lonely, I find the soul some good love songs just to distress all troubles and obstacles.

I am very crazy about love songs and those are the type of songs you would find on my phone and laptop. I do all I can to get these type of songs immediately it’s been released.
Last Saturday, during my quite time, I came across this song titled ‘My World’ on Ghana Music Promo. I am the type who would also not waste the time to listen to any type of love song especially when it’s coming from an unknown or budding artist. But this time, the title ‘My World’ caught my attention so I decided to download and listen to it.

Trust me! What I heard is something that needs to be recommended; it’s the best medicine for someone in trouble, it can make you fly and sleep well. The lyrical, melodic and poetic expression of ‘My World’ is one that can have a timeless effect on its listeners and is something that most, if not all of the greatest songwriters of all time have tried to achieve.
Gloria Esy Graham, is a Ghanaian based afro pop and RnB singer. Her just released ‘My World’ is a song expressing love for another person. The fusion of different dialects – Twi, English and Ga in her song add a touch of class and uniqueness to the numerous songs on our air waves.

Signed on to Grand Multimedia, Esy, like other musicians first had a stint into the entertainment scene at a very tender age when she sang at her aunties wedding. During her secondary education at Nungua Senior High, Esy joined the Life Impact gospel group where she developed much passion for singing. The young and talented artiste comes from a musical family that hails from Somanya – a town and the capital of Yilo Krobo District, in the Eastern Region of south Ghana.

Her earliest inspirations were of course the wide variety of music around her especially, highlife music by Ghanaian artists like Kojo Antwi, Awurama Badu, Akosua Agyapong, Pat Thomas and many others. Esy was also inspired by international musicians like Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Rihanna, Jessie J and so many others. Esy’s singing style is a reflection of these cross musical influences.

Esy has promised to add her singing style to grow the face of Ghanaian music industry and she aims at reaching fans both locally and internationally.
