Ghana coach Avram Grant has named Jordan Ayew and Abdul-Majeed Waris in the attack of the starting line-up to face Mozambique this afternoon while keeping faith with Razak Brimah in the post.

In-form Italy-based midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu was left out of the starting line up of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The former Chelsea manager seems to prefer his trusted central midfield duo of Afriyie Acquah and Mubarak Wakaso.

The Israeli trainer opted to go for Waris in attack in the absence of reliable and experienced striker Asamoah Gyan who pull out of training yesterday with injury.

Grant opted to stick with Razak Brimah as his first choice goalkeeper despite the return of Adam Kwarasey who was expected to give competition to the Spain-based shot-stopper.

Harrison Afful will play from the right side of defence with Chelsea ace Baba Rahman playing in the opposite direction.

The strong central defensive partnership between John Boye and Jonathan Mensah has been maintained for the match against the Mambas.

Christian Atsu will play in the right wing with the blistering form of Frank Acheampong in Belgium will give him the place on the left wing.

Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew will play behind Waris as seek to unlock the Mozambican defence and extend their lead at the top of Group H.

Ghana starting line-up:

Razak Brimah, Harrison Afful, Baba Rahman, John Boye, Jonathan Mensah, Afriyie Acquah, Christian Atsu, Mubarak Wakaso, Abdul Majeed Waris, Jordan Ayew, Frank Acheampong.
